Why not just use the portals' own free alerts?
You can, and if you sell in one country that is a sensible choice. Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, TED, SAM.gov and CanadaBuys all offer free saved-search alerts, and the market guides explain how to set each one up. What BidHeron does differently is put all four markets in one inbox and rank each notice by how well it fits your business, instead of matching on a keyword alone.
Questions people ask
- How fresh is the data?
- We check each portal every two hours. SAM.gov is the exception: it limits how many calls we can make per day, so US federal notices arrive in daily batches. The status page shows when each source was last read.
- How do I cancel?
- From Dashboard, then Billing. That opens the customer portal of Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, where you can cancel, change your card or download invoices. You never have to email anyone.
- What about refunds?
- Cancel any time and keep Pro until the end of the month you paid for. Refunds are limited to duplicate or mistaken charges, a documented failure on our side, and cases where the law requires one, because everything Pro does can be tested for free first. - What do you store about me?
- Your email address, your saved alert (keywords, markets, category) and, if you upgrade, the customer and subscription IDs that Dodo gives us. We never see your card. The privacy policy lists everything we hold and how long we keep it.
